Men’s Soccer Tripped Up in Semifinal

Cougars' Campaign Ends with Elimination

(Boston, MA) - Men's soccer had their season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, losing to Bunker Hill CC in the New England tournament semifinals. The Cougars put up a good fight but were unable to claw back into the match after falling behind.

Sleiden Edmorin (Tech Boston Academy) finishes the season as Holyoke's leader in goals and points. Dante Bates (Springfield, MA / East Longmeadow HS) led the team in assists and Niamke David Akpayne (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee Comprehensive HS) was the leader in game-winning goals.

Men's soccer ends the year with a 4-5-1 regional record and a 4-6-2 overall record. They have played in the New England semifinals for the past two seasons, winning to get to a final in 2022 and unfortunately falling in the semi this year. Let's go Cougars!
