Cougars Put a Few in Back of the Net
Men's soccer has worked hard through their first few games of the season. Although they have yet to find the win column, the Cougars have found a bit of offense with three goals in their past two contests.
Lucas Castro (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee Comprehensive HS) has been among the team's strongest performers over the first four games of the year. Castro is one of the Cougars' center backs, anchoring the defensive line. He tallied an assist on Holyoke's first goal of the season. The Cougars' goal scorers thus far are Mohamat Nour Moussa (Springfield, MA / Sudan), Jeter Marques (Belchertown, MA /Belchertown HS) and Liam Sibley-Welch (South Hadley, MA /South Hadley HS). Marques and Shelby-Welch scored their goals in Holyoke's most recent game while Moussa tallied his in the one prior.
Men's soccer has an 0-4 overall record and an 0-4 regional record. They will host Bunker Hill CC for the next game on Saturday, October 5th at 3pm. Let's go Cougars!
