Women’s Volleyball Wins Two More in Straight Sets
Lady Cougars on Five-Game Winning Streak
(Holyoke, MA / Worcester, MA) – Women's volleyball continues to stay hot, winning two more games in straight sets. The Lady Cougars were at home on Thursday evening, defeating Northern Essex CC 3-0 before hitting the road for a 3-0 win over Quinsigamond CC on Saturday afternoon. Holyoke has won five straight games and four of those wins were in straight sets.
Alianiz Bonilla (Springfield, MA / Commerce HS) was stellar in both matches, leading Holyoke in digs on Thursday with 21 and kills on Saturday with nine. Isabelle Garutti (Springfield, MA / Sabis International Charter HS) and Caidence White (Springfield, MA / Central HS) both had double digits in digs in each contest and Serymar Santos (Santo Domingo, DR / Holyoke HS) totaled 46 assists over the two games.
Women's Volleyball is 11-2 overall and 10-1 regionally. They are 11-1 against NJCAA opponents. They host Mass Bay CC for a regional contest on Tuesday, October 14th at 7pm. Let's go Cougars!
