Women’s Volleyball Top Seed in New England
Lady Cougars to Host Regional Semifinal
Women's volleyball finished the regular season in first place in the New England (Region XXI) standings and will be the #1 seed in the regional tournament. The Lady Cougars (17-4 overall, 16-2 regional) will host a regional semifinal on Friday, October 31st at 7pm against #4 seed Northern Essex CC (10-9 overall, 10-8 regional). Holyoke defeated NECC in straight sets in both matches between the sides during the regular season. Should the Cougars win, they would host the New England championship game on Sunday, November 1st at 1pm. The region's other semifinal sees #2 CC of Rhode Island (14-7 overall, 14-4 regional) squaring off against #3 Bunker Hill CC (13-7 overall, 13-5 regional). The Cougars were 2-0 against CCRI this year and 1-0 on the court versus BHCC while also having to forfeit a game to them due to a scheduling mishap. Holyoke, who were runners-up for the New England championship in 2024, hope that this year they can claim the regional title. Let's go Cougars!
