Lady Cougars Draw #1 at Division III Volleyball Championship
Women's Volleyball to Play Two-Time Defending National Champions
The NJCAA has announced the Division III Volleyball Championship seedings and first round matchups for the 2025 tournament being played in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Lady Cougars (19-4 overall, 18-2 region), who will be participating in their first ever volleyball national championship event, are the #16 seed and will play the #1 seed Dallas College Eastfield (TX) (27-1 overall, 10-0 region) in their opening match. Holyoke's first round (round of 16) game will be played on Thursday, November 13th at 1pm CT (2pm EST/local). Eastfield's Lady Harvester Bees are the two-time defending national champions and will certainly be a tough first round opponent for the Cougars. If Holyoke should win their first round match, they would play a national quarterfinal on Thursday at 7:30pm. All eight teams who lose in the first round are put into a consolation bracket and all 16 teams participating in the tournament are guaranteed to play at least two games. Four straight victories are needed for a team to win the national title, and the national championship match is on Saturday, November 15th at 6:30pm CT (7:30pm EST/local). Let's go Cougars!
