Baseball Sharp in Regional Road Victory

Cougars Add Another to Win Column

(Brockton, MA) - Cougars baseball traveled on Thursday afternoon, collecting a regional win over Massasoit CC. Holyoke was sharp throughout the contest on their way to a 7-4 victory.

Jon Paul Chaloux (Suffield, CT / Suffield HS) was stellar on the mound, earning the win while hurling seven strikeouts. Chaloux pitched seven innings, giving up just two earned runs. Ben Caron (Conway, MA / Frontier Regional HS) and Xavion Maldonado (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee HS) both had a multi-hit game. Zack Oldenburg (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee HS) earned the save, pitching the final two innings.

Men's baseball improves their regional record to 5-8 and their overall record to 7-18. They will host Massasoit for a doubleheader at Cougar Field on Saturday, April 25th, beginning at 1pm. Let's go Cougars!
